We teamed up with Sprint Springs (a large manufacturer thats nearby) and asked them to work with us to develop a set of springs that we thought would be a perfect blend of performance, looks and feel for the street.

Our Goal
We have been getting tons of e-mail over the years asking about what we thought was the perfect spring. There is no correct answer. It depends on your application. If you want your Mustang drastically lowered for looks only, then you will scrape more often on the street. Those in a quest for a near stock ride (and a little lower) were usually faced with getting a set of springs that didn't lower their Mustangs enough or the lowering was un-even, sometimes not at all in the rear. People then resort to cutting coils or mixing sets to even out their drop. We wanted a better / simple solution.

There are many nice spring kits on the market, the kit we developed took into account the most common requests from readers:

1) A nice drop, specially on the 99+ Mustangs
2) An even drop, front and rear dropped accordingly with no coil cutting worries, etc
3) Performance (progressive) rates to eliminate nose dive during braking and improve steering response
4) Maintaining a factory like ride, firm but not harsh

We also wanted a kit for the 99+ Cobras (with independent rear suspension), until now there were few choices for IRS Mustangs.

We achieved all our goals.

Testing
We have been testing the springs for months, Kevin (his Cobra above) has been testing different rates in the Cobra with it's IRS. Small changes in rates yielded very different results on the street.

We are very happy with the end result. The 99+ Mustangs suffer from a huge 4x4 ride height from the factory, considering all our goals above, we feel these springs are the perfect street springs.


We now enjoy a nicely lowered Mustang without extra worry of scraping everywhere, a ride that (dare we say) is better than the factory, and no more nose dive ! It's like having your cake and eating it too.
